The Gumball 3000 is an annual British 3,000-mile (4,800 km) international motor rally which takes place on public roads. This past year (2014) the race went from Miami to Ibiza and it was a wild one because there was a bright blue, Nyan Cat sporting Ferrari on the track that was piloted by the mau5head himself, Deadmau5.
Joel and Tory Belleci of Mythbusters hit the road at the speed of Nyan for a week and they made sure the ride was nothing short of exciting. From autographs to police escapades, the coffee fueled journey became one of the most exciting things to watch on the internet in the summer of 2014. I remember even tweeting my support for #TeamPurrari.
Luckily, you can relive the experience in a short documentary released by Mau5trap yesterday. The video features music from While 1 < 2 and is a great recap of the awesomeness that is Team Purarri.
"If you're a car fan, it's a fun watch. Likewise if you're a deadmau5 fan: the producer — whose five-year retrospective 5 Years of mau5 came out in November — works in quite a bit of music from his most recent studio album, while(1 Less_tha2). (I've listened to it a bunch, it's great, it's Grammy-nominated.) Live vicariously, because this is one road trip most of us will never take." - The Verge
