Daily Track: "Bobby K by Lucian x Remmi"

It is not everyday that we hear music that is a social commentary on politics and history. Today I bring you an eerie track that is tastefully made by producer Lucian and singer Remmi. Lucian creates a boppable, emotion-filled beat that compliments Remmi's lyrics about the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy.

  1. Robert F. Kennedy, the younger brother of American President John F. Kennedy, was a great politician who was running for president in 1968 to uphold the name and reputation of the Kennedy family in the White House following the death of his older brother. Tragically, he was assassinated during his campaign on June 6th, 1968. Some politicians believe Robert had a chance of winning the election and changing America for the better after President Johnson's questionable policies. Much like his older brother, he was a true patriot who wanted the best for his country and Remmi's lyrics contest to the fact that he lives on in the soul of every American.
  2. Remmi's beautiful voice (a blend of Lorde and Lana Del Rey) creates an eerie presence when she speaks of RFK's assassination, but she also revs the American spirit by telling us that RFK did not die that day in '68. He lives on in the veins of every American. As a biased American, this makes me extremely happy and proud of my country. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.
  3. Lucian did a wonderful job of producing the track. The arpeggiated chords and melody backs the overall tone of the track very well, creating an uplifting sense of hope for the future. While the subject of RFK's assassination is dark, the goal of the track is to invoke patriotism. Lucian accomplishes this goal with his beautiful notes and boppable drum patterns.

Fellow Americans and comrades around the world, I present to you a message of peace and unity.
