With a new school year starting I am enjoying the fact that I am a young, vibrant college student who can still (at some level) claim innocence. However, with only three years left, my youth is fading and I have to do everything in my power to hold on. That is why when I heard The Neighbourhood's new track R.I.P. 2 My Youth I felt all the feels.
- The Neighbourhood is by far one of my favorite bands to come out within the last decade. They don't release music that frequently but everything they release is full of emotion and power. Sure, they may reuse the same formula but they can tell a story with every track which is exactly what they did with their new track.
- This track really hit me because even though I am only 19 I feel like I am wasting away. I know I still have a lot of life left in me (hopefully) however I know that one day, at a certain point, I will be too far gone. I will be old and at that point I don't know if I'll be able to do what I want to do.
- Aside from reading between the lines this track is the edgy, west coast vibe we have been looking for all summer and you will be happy to know that The Neighbourhood will be releasing their next album 'Wiped Out!' on October 30th.
Listen to the track below and feel all the feels with the video. Just a fair warning, it is pretty dark.
